I recently did the makeup for Gemma and Emmette, both models, for a photography workshop day at Nigel Fleming Photography. This was held at Parkanaur. Gemma and Emmette are two gorgeous people so it was just a pleasure doing their makeup. They both have amazing skin and great features which makes applying makeup so much easier. For Emmette I just used MAC Face & Body Foundation, light powder, and slight contouring with vaseline on the lips. As Gemma has beautiful sallow skin and dark eyes I kept the tones in keeping with her skin tone and added false lashes with a pinch of blusher on the cheeks to add bridal prettiness. I also changed her lips to a red lip half way through the day for something different.

I first met Emma a few years ago when she came with her best friend Sarah (pictured below as a bridesmaid)  for a “Lashes and Flashes” Makeover Photoshoot (hair, makeup and photoshoot experience). Emma’s bridesmaid, also Emma, was one of my very first brides so it was such a pleasure doing this wedding as I not only knew Emma, the bride, but I also knew her bridesmaid (and sister-in-law Emma) and Sarah her other bridesmaid who was a bride of mine a few months previously! (I hope you’re not lost, this is all a long winded way of saying we all had great craic as we all knew each other well!)

Two gorgeous “old married women”! And fab bridesmaids.

Jennifer, Emma’s gorgeous mum

And lastly the photo of Emma and Sarah a couple of years ago when they had their “Lashes and Flashes” Makeover Photoshoot! (they haven’t changed a bit!)

I have been very neglectful of my blog and am going to have to play catchup! The month of December is just so busy with makeups, girls going out, winter weddings etc and then every year between Christmas and the New Year I am inundated with bridal enquiries. So that’s where I’ve been and what I’ve been doing! I didn’t win the lotto and am not sailing the world on a yacht with a private jet unfortunately:) If any of you lovely customers of mine do win the lotto please let me know, I am willing and able to travel around the world with you as your private makeup artist, just saying :)

On Saturday I had the pleasure of doing my first wedding of 2014 for the gorgeous Gemma.  Gemma loves her eyes dark and so what a bride says goes! She really suits a dark eye and was a beautiful bride. Her bridesmaids were wearing dusky pink so I kept Gemma’s lips this tone and added a hint of pink to the outer/top socket of the eyes too. The eye makeup is clearer in the second photo.

The three fab bridesmaids (complete with straws in their champagne so as not to smudge their lipstick!)

Gemma’s gorgeous mum Pauline who made me so welcome in her home and looked like one of Gemma’s sisters, not her mum!
