I did Anita’s make-up a couple of weeks ago for her going to her ball. Here is a different look again I did for Anita going out for a night in Belfast. The dress she was going to wear was a beautiful shade of bronze so I did her eye make-up to match, and because it’s Christmas added some bronze glitter. Gorgeous!

Donna, Anita’s wee sister, was going out too and wanted a grey/black smokey eye with some Christmas sparkle added too. Beautiful! Anita’s two friends, who were up from Dublin for the night, came in and had some false eyelashes added. I wish I had taken a quick “before” & “after” photo just to show the difference juat a set of eyelashes can make! They add instant glamour.

Anita and her friend Catherine were recently getting their make-up done for their end of year law ball in the Culloden.

It is a great time of year to really glam things up and as there is a lot of Christmas sparkle around it is a great  excuse to add some bling to make-up too.

Anita’s gorgeous dress from “The Boudoir” was predominently a rich navy colour so I did her eyes a navy soft smoke with a touch of silver bling! Stunning.

Before                                                                                                                     After!

Catherine was wearing a beautiful timeless black dress with really sparkly shoes so I did her eyes a bronze and green smoke with added bronze bling to make her eyes pop! And to finish a big set of party eyelashes.

Two gorgeous party girls ready for the ball!!

I love make-up, I love the Argory and I love bright snowy days and recently all three came together! Nigel and I decided to do a snowy icy winter photoshoot at the Argory  and Anna was our model.

I wanted to keep Anna’s make-up “cold” so used lots of cold tones – silvers, blues, pinks and lots and lots of shimmery sparkle to compliment the snowy icy surrounding scene.

Anna has striking clear blue eyes and so I added a silvery grey eyeshadow and lots of silver fine glitter dust (Barry M) on the lid right  into the brows as well as an Urban Decay Heavy Metal  glitter eyeliner  around the rims finished with a soft eyeliner pencil in “bleu neon” (Bourjois). I also used  false eyelashes from Eylure (Girls Aloud Party Lashes by Sarah) which finished Anna’s eyes.

On Anna’s cheeks I used an Illamasque soft shimmery, very irridescent pink cream blush set right on the top of the cheekbone and patted a small amount of Jemma Kidd silver glitter to give a “frosty look”. I also used this cream blush on Anna’s lips.

I think Anna really suits this icy cold look – she was a brilliant model on such a freezing cold day.
