A few things happened this weekend which were free, well almost free, and added to being all in all a great weekend! ……

1. The obvious…. a whole hour extra today, brilliant!

2. My Sunday morning walk around the Argory with my two labradors and my husband. On a gorgeous bright autumn morning there really is nothing to beat it.

(this is Maggie’s “ok, enough photos now, let’s throw sticks” look)

3. The best warm scones ever with homemade raspberry jam and thick, thick cream with a double shot cappucino on a Sunday afternoon in Castle Leslie – let’s just say this was definitely not free but well worth every euro and calorie of which there were probably millions!

The Hunting Lodge at Castle Leslie

4. And my new free Clinique Currant lipgloss!! I got the last Elle Magazine in the garage and this gloss came with it -  I love it. It is a great autumn/christmas colour which you can actually see (as a lot of lipglosses look like they’ll be a great colour and just seem to disappear on impact) and it  lasts ages too.  If you see the magazine with this buy it – well worth £3.70.

Laura is in the final stages of a long interview process with one of the best long haul airline companies in the world (if not the best) and needed some photographs done as part of the process.

As  a red hat and red lips are part of the uniform, one of the critera for the photographs was of course red lips! Laura really suits them but it does take time getting used to a red lip if you don’t normally wear it.

Red lips are really in at the minute and everyone can wear them, it’s just a matter of getting the best red to suit your skin tone, whether it’s a lovely warm  corally red or a dramatic cold blueish red there is a red lipstick out there to suit everyone. Just be careful of wearing on your teeth too as it has a great habit of finding it’s way onto white teeth!

Laura also needed some photographs showing a more casual look so we took the red lipstick off and used a colour she would normally wear on a daily basis.

Laura is a gorgeous, bubbly and friendly girl and I can really see her in the  uniform being so lovely and helpful to all those hundreds of thousands of people that she may well meet in her potential new flying career. I hope I’m one of them too. I’ll be checking those red lips!  Good luck Laura, Nigel and I have everything crossed for you!!

The gorgeous  Jane Gallagher and her proud dad on her wedding day……

When we’re getting married the things we have to arrange and book to make our special day a success can be overwhelming. From the reception venue, the photographer,  our bridesmaid choices, to the rings and what type of cars, it can be a minefield and although exciting it can be a very stressful time.

Our hair and make-up is another very important decision. Everyone will be looking at you the beautiful bride, so as well as your dress, your make-up is one of the most important things you can consider for your big day. Bridal make-up should make you look like you but make you look like a much more polished version of you! It also has to last all day into the evening and look good in natural light and artifical light and be applied experty enough to be amazing in your photographs.

As I am specifically trained in bridal and photographic makeup I have the skills to guarantee your bridal makeup will make you look amazing whilst  flawlessly lasting all day.
