Last night Charlene, my beautiful model and friend, came to the studio and we did some bridal make-up. It was great fun for us doing the girlie thing and oohing and aahing over the gorgeous dresses and just  generally loving the whole bridal atmosphere.

For Charlene’s make-up I kept it very natural with the focus on her eyes. On her eyes I used a soft vanilla shadow by Illamasque all over the lid to her brow and then built up the colour on the lids in golds and browns using Urban Decay in “Underground” and “Shag”. I deepened this with a dark brown (“Calypso” by Trucco)  in the socket line and under her bottom lashes. To complete her eyes I added some fine false eyelashes. For her cheeks I used an Illamasqua cream blush (“Dixie”) and after adding some loose powder finished this with a soft corally pink powder blush (“Orgasm” by NARS) with a hint of Bobbi Brown “Brick” just to highlight the tops of her cheekbones.

Her lips were kept a dewy peachy pink with some gloss to finish the look.

Charlene made a stunning and beautiful “bride” and a big big thank you to her as she was getting up to go to Edinburgh at 5am this morning!

All bridal wear was very kindly supplied by Bonita Bridal Studio, Killyman Street, Moy, Co.Tyrone.

This makeup shoot was about strong make-up – big, big lashes and strong lips.  I wanted to keep Nichola’s skin pale and “cold” with the emphasis purely on her eyes and lips.  Nichola had a great look for this make-up and the photos Nigel took look fantastic.

Thank you to Jennifer Ireland, my make-up artist friend, who “donated” the great lashes.

This morning I had the pleasure of doing Tori’s make-up for her engagement photo session. It was an early start for us all on a Sunday morning but the photos of Tori and fiance David look fantastic.

The photo session was outside at The Argory, a beautiful National Trust property five mins drive away, where Tori and David regularly go to walk and where they got engaged at Christmas time.

For Tori’s make-up I wanted to keep the look natural and radiant. I used soft, rich tones of golds and browns on Tori’s eyes which suited her deep green eyes and chestnut coloured hair and a lovely coral pink on her cheeks.

Here are a few of the photos from this morning. Photography by Nigel Fleming Photography www.nigelflemingphotography.co.uk
